Anritsu 69169A 10Mhz-40GHz Signal Generator w/Opt 2b,11,16 Low Noise! Cal’d!

Ultra low phase noise edition! Approx 25-30 dbc improvement compared to the budget 68xxxx series !!! It’s a big deal! And everything bit worth the extra money. And this one as shown is 10-15 dbc better than spec! Due to the overhauling of the a4 course loop low phase noise board using newer vcos which build an extra 10 dbc improvement! Check the readings against the datasheet easily found online ! You’ll be as amazed as I and to achieve this low of noise all the way to 26.5 ghz is incredible!  I don’t have a 40 ghz low enough phase noise equipped spectrum analyzer to test past that.

This includes an and fm ext modulations and internal and ext pulse mod

The unit has had most of the calibrations done to it already however upon sale we will do a full power calibration so it’ll be flawless when you get it!

We specialize in phase noise here and this is our cleanest sig gen that goes to 40 ghz ! Even cleaner than my personal mg3694B with ultra low phase noise option 003! Thanks to it using those newer vcos I mentioned earlier!

I think I will do the same procedure to my lab generators now!

It really is incredible!

When I first got it I was like(this doesn’t look right for an A model….. But then I saw the a4 assembly had some recent tamper stickers from signalsweeper.com and now I get it.

The 2 hard to find vcos make all the difference to get the cleanest signal possible. In fact it’s so clean all the spurs that before merged in with the noise floor now looks like a problem but don’t worry it’s 11 dbc below spec! Even higher up!

Plus it has dual power over freq sweeping ….custom personal power over freq calibrations to cal out cables and splitters etc….

It has internal square wave generator and ext am and fm and alc.

Fresh prelim calibration has been done realigning the source , leveling, sweep time,yto and vco linearization, etc….attenuator is not sticky which is rare. Buttons press with ease. Display doesn’t have any lines in it nor is dim! It either has low hours or was refurbished at one point. It’s got some scuffs on the exterior but the important things are in exceptionally good condition .

We can customize it further by adding an ultra stable double oven timebase with 1×10 -9 stability .plus improved phase noise close in (10 hz to 100hz offsets) for an extra 200$ .  But the current one (opt 16) is around 1×10-8 I believe and the standard timebases are 1×10-6 or less only.

The back feet aren’t shown being on but I have all 4 don’t worry! We had to install option 16 (which is a super stable timebase with slightly improved close in phase noise) to align the freq that’s why.

For one Anritsu/wiltron 69169A(I also have the B version with phase modulation if needed) sweeper / signal generator with internal modulation ! Am,fm and pulse built in!(Also note in the datasheet it doesn’t mention it has pulse generator nor square wave internal modulation as shown but  it does as you can see.

Gets Approx + 15 dbm down to -120 dbm as shown thanks to option 2b attenuator! dynamic range! Massive!

It also gets 0.1 hz resolution with opt 11! And a super stable well insulated big old ocxo timebase opt 16!

If you want Scpi programming opt 19 add 300$ and give me a week to have it done. If you need to interface it with 8757d I can get the firmware put on it for that as well for no charge! Just a firmware update to the newest.but this firmware has no bugs or any issues with it unless you need it to work as your 8757d source(but that requires a special 300$ cable anyways)

If you need option 15 high power add 1500$ ! This is why I haven’t done the power cal on it yet as that requires an expensive amplified filter /modulator.

We can do all types of mods and customizing options since these aren’t supported by Anritsu anymore. Luckily we fully support them with all the parts! We make our own solutions to the parts impossible to find now! Contact us for more info.

Plus includes the coveted blazing fast analog sweeps option for freq and power!

You can use this as the LO for an agilent 8757D with a special cable that you can custom make or buy from anritsu if it has the right firmware and I believe it does. For scpi language add 300$ and a little extra delivery time.this one has the .1 hz resolution already opt 11!

2b being added and realigned using the power software .plus 6(phase modulation) . If you need high power add 1500$ upon parts availability. It boosts it by around 7 dbm.

Includes step sweep as well . Plus opt 2b attenuator to -110 dbm .

Max power varies by band. But gets up to 18 dbm at some spots! Less above 20 ghz where it’s doubled . Perfectly within spec!

The low phase noise course loop board just had a new vco put in so it will last a long time and the phase noise is back to near new since you don’t have a 20 yr old degraded vco which usually happens on all of these! It includes a low phase noise  10 Mhz timebase ultra stable option 16!!

These fetch an extra 3000$ due to the 69xxx designator ( ultra low noise)

If you don’t need ultra low noise we have cheaper ones usually available the 68xxx series which still have much lower noise than a 83640b! But about 10 to 20 dbm higher than this coveted 69xxx model which is very rare and highly sought after. Get it while you can.

The phase noise is every good as an mgxxxA and Bb modes with and only with opt 3 ultra low phase noise! l due to the fact it uses the identical interchangeable a4 course loop board and samplers.

We will install our own customizable LED upgrade kit if you like.

If you want we can add a brightness pot in the front even . It’s all up to you!
