Full alignments done and passes self cal and self test!

Signals clean with trace hold set for 20 minutes.

The display is the best part because almost every fsem and fsiq I’ve ever come across has had terrible lighting due to the design only using one ccfl instead of 2 for this massive display! But we upgraded it to an led backlight instead of the oldskool compact florescent bulbs!.

The result….. Much brighter and far more contrast! You can read it easy from across the room with bright lights on even! Pretty incredible for a fse /fsiq !

Plus it’s fully adjustable now! Which it’s not without this mod. No rohde brightness adjustments for the full display….. Wierd…

But you can still adjust individual components brightness ratios/balance and change custom colors! Which is another beautiful thing! Pun intended 😉

The keys never get dirty so no need to press hard for the lifetime of the unit thanks to rohdes brilliant design! Barely press all keys like butter!

These are built like tanks to last!

If you want an fsp38(30 ghz preselected)and hits 40 ghz you can buy one from us. It’s more expensive however.double 😉

It originally had the removable pcmcia I HDD option b18 but since It was missing the HDD and I didn’t have A way to put my spare HDD on pcmcia, I just installed it in the usual CPU spot and so sometimes it looks for the HDD in the option module but you just reset it and it boots fine. But for the last few times it has booted solid without a hitch.i wouldn’t worry about it. Meanwhile I’m developing a way to either make it stop looking for it there and or duplicating it to the pcmcia via adapter .check back for status.

Either way it’s all good tho. Also we upgraded the input connector to a super nice agilent connector from an 83630b. Because those standard wierd ones are always missing and expensive to buy when lost and have physical connection flatness reflections by design.

This one has the full fsiq software and hardware. Plus it has some emi software even tho it doesn’t have the emi board so if you can find the board and install it, you can have an fsiq and the emi version of it!. Likewise you can easily convert it to a fsem 30 just by swapping the 7 ghz board. Which you find in the fseb models . All that would do is lower the range to 20 hz tho..nothing special. Because this already has all the specs and options that has.

Option b15 is the PC computer built in, separate from the main cpu processor.also has Ethernet opt b16. B18 is the front pcmcia HDD, b4 low phase noise and super stable timebase ,b5 the 1 hz res fft bw for fast sweeps close in,  plus gsm options and b7 fsiq mode.iq. and gsm Ms and bts

In close in spans the phase noise actually just barely beats out the coveted expensive PSA series e4443a which came out much later .

And did I mention the displays huge so it has dual trace mode as shown!

And the sweeps can be fast closer in thanks to the coveted option b5 fft /1hz res bw!!!

Plus comes with the low phase noise option b4 and ultra stable timebase that I’ll align before shipping to rubidium. ! 

Keep it in mind this is a desktop computer designed to sit up high with a keyboard below and mouse. IOW it’s not really considered portable. Tho it’s not that hard to lug around if need be.

We have the alignment software for these models so imwe freshly aligned  flatness and preselector  already!   Flatness is dead on accurate 😉

With a nist traceable 2 yr cal interval cert and sticker!

These weigh only about 60 lbs . We have very lightweight fsp38s for around 9000$ if interested. Performance is not quite as good tho.

This has 1 hz res bw on fft option mode . . There arent any preamps available on this model as they advertise it doesn’t need them to achieve similar performance and  I guess preamps reduce displayed  dynamic range. -160dbm down low around 10 MHz I guess

This has the cool view a and view b screen toggle which is one of my fav things about this.
