this is the a15 assembly to hp agilent spectrum analyzer 8560a 8561a 8562a 8563a models
I have about 10 of these in all different part numbers however they are all compatible with eachother. just different part numbers because each board has different components but all the identical function with the exception that the 8563a has two types:
either with the ovenized oscillator or without. the one listed in this auction is the one with the oscillator built in and wont work with the ovenized one on an 8563a because there is not wire harness for it, HOWEVER it still works! you just wont have the ovenized stability of the one located near the crt. so for people where that is not a big concern this will work for the 8563a as well! it wont work for the E models.
08562-60059 ,60169 ,60179 ,60146 ,60157 ,60118 are the part numbers. just add 08562- to each of the numbers as a prefix
if youre getting errors that start with 3 , and or messed up grid lines or no input signal , this could very well be bad, but you need to diagnose it for sure via service manual before purchasing. we also diagnose and repair here if you want to send it in, usually a 200$ repair fee plus parts.
If you have to have the 8563a version that has the harness for the upgraded oscillator 10 mhz, then I can sell it for an extra 200$ on top of this buy it now price. I have a few of those too. those ones also only work for the A model not the E even though they look identical and were made during the same years.
If you need it for E model I also have those for around the same price already on ebay. check my auctions.we also repair the E model a15 for only 300$.
these boards are plug and play! no adjustment needed! also there is no returns for these if they dont fix your problem. returns only if the board is defective! and ill know if you tamper with it because all boards come fully tested.
