Did I mention close in to mid level phase noise is phenomenal! Much better than e444 series or x series!!! And better than Anritsu ms2840!  Beats out all competitors! See pics for proof! Plus has the phase noise option! You need to get a n9030a/b with opt ep1 to beat this phase noise! Incredible design and nearly half the weight of the PSA series!

The phase noise is nearly as good as the coveted pricy fsup base model in spec an mode  at certain offsets!

(Note the wide offsets are really great too but compare to about equal to the PSA and mxa series.)

Passes all self cal and self tests every time! Solid!!! We can put a brand new LCD in for an extra 200$ if wanted but doesn’t need it. The hours much lower than all the ones on eBay right now! And the LCD is very bright and clear!

Option b72 is the most valuable option capable  on this machine!  It increased the 23 mhz bw to 120mhz bw! And is worth a pretty penny! I’m selling this for dirt cheap!!! 

The inherent phase noise on this baby is far far superior to the e4440a Agilents highest performance analyzer of the same era! So Rohde decimates Agilent in phase noise performance(as shown in pics being off the chart!)  in this class in the mid 2000s! Close in is nearly  20 db lower without even using option b4 !!! And further out is about 10 DB lower!

For measuring phase noise look no further! This has almost as good pn performance as the coveted fsup at some offsets! (Without fsup ‘s low pn options of course)

Plus with a low noise down converter you can use this up as high as you want!!!( I have a 13 ghz one for sale and a 18 ghz one as well if needed.)

And this one has the coveted phase noise measuring utility which is a must have!!! Plus with a 8 GHz noise figure and gain app, and use as a power meter the possibilities are endless . You won’t find another one with this many options guaranteed!

This is the vector signal analyzer with a massive 120Mhz max bandwidth !!! Not 25! Not 40! Not 80! But a whopping 125Mhz bw! That’s a 10k option on an mxa and a 3k option on an e4445a and that’s only 80 Mhz! !!! This thing blows all other analyzers in its class out of the water at everything!

I do have to wonder tho…why Rohde has such terrible phase noise on their handhelds and micro analyzers. I guess they couldn’t fit the circuitry? And then you have anritsu who blows the phase noise away since 20 yrs ago on their handhelds even better than modern keysights!!! It’s a riddle I can’t solve lol! (But only in the handheld world) When it comes to flagship benchtop models Rohde is the king of phase noise performance!

This has the coveted transducer option that allows you to make your own preset flatness offsets so you don’t need to spend any $$ on getting the flatness cald over the years when the filter starts to drift a little.

The power meter option works with any Rohde USB power sensor or with a standard sensor and a USB adapter which you can get on eBay . I can sell you one for 150$ as well. It works simultaneously with the spectrum analyzer mode so that’s awesome! 2 for 1!  Top and bottom. That may be my fav part of this system! Well that and pn and noise fig.

Plus it has a ton of other non option but  included measurement apps built into the spectrum analyzer mode including IQ analyzing , toi, harmonic distortion, ACP, etc…….

Keys all press effortlessly like all Rohdes ! Their key designs are far better than Agilent ,anritsu etc…

It has signal tracking, bw to span ratio, etc….all the best functions for versatility and ease of use!

We can even update the floppy drive to USB drive if you like! But it has USbs already so it’s only necessary if you use it with keyboard and mouse constantly and need another slot for backing up files . Just add 200$

flatness is on point indicating an excellent filter ! We have the software to cal this so if there’s anything slightly out of spec it will be fixed upon sale with fresh 2 yr nist traceable cal cert /sticker.

The phase noise is far better which is great since it has the phase noise measuring app option!, and there’s no annoying autocalibration!
