Anritsu MF2414B 10 hz- 45 Ghz Burst/Frequency Counter Mf2414C Opt 3 Calibrated

Description

This is for x1 Anritsu mf2414B microwave frequency counter with burst function.  the predecessor to the C model which is identical except for the display type from what I can see anyways. I’ve owned and calibrated a few of each.

Includes the highest most stable time base option tier available by Anritsu: option 3 which is 5×10 -9 stability. I can improve it by 5 times ie: 1×10 -9 which would be option 4 is suppose(1 tier higher than the highest possible) for an additional 200$. Just ask.

The pictured signal generator is NOT included but can be for extra $$$. I have both ultra low noise and standard 50 ghz anritsu models 😉 😉

I have a few of these . You can take your pick . This one pictured has a standby power issue but works 100 percent  otherwise and comes fully cald ! It just fails a self test when switching it from standby to on sometimes only ,

however when turning it on from the rear power switch it turns on and passes all self tests 100 percent of the time so it’s just a standby power issue.thus the price drop.

Basically it doesn’t switch to standby fully like it should.

Otherwise 100 percent functional! Thus the 500$ price difference . If you need it perfect it’s 3300$ . But this ones in the best cosmetic condition of all of them and the least amount of hours judging by the screen brightness.

All include the covered option 3 the super stable time base and the most stable ocxo as they come next to rubidium!

It’s the most expensive option on it.it goes 1,2,3 in order from least stable  to most stable option  while many come without any options meaning the least stable ocxo config. And compared side by side both perform identically which lets you know they’re both working perfect.

Plus I tested all the ranges in power and freq , plus calibrated them both to a cald rubidium source.Nist traceable.

We don’t mess around here at test cal 😉

Also the burst mode is tested good on both. Which is a popular feature.

It’s rated to 40 ghz however both tested great to 44 ghz! And get a out 9 hz minimum on high impedence settings on channel 2 and over 1 ghz there on 50 ohm settings.

The power sensitivity ranges by freq and sample size but it’s near -20 to -30 dbm to +10 dbm from what I tested.both responded the same with splittter.

The inputs are both golden and 2.92mm which are mateable with sma and 3.5mm as well without damage. No damage to the connectors.

In hi impedence mode it can get resolution of  .001 res. and in  50 ohm mode it gets 0.1 hz res.
