Also works awesome as a USB power meter! One of the nicest I’ve seen !!! So just for that use alone it’s worth 1000$ easy! Plus it’s got a few stellar options like preamp,tg, and some demodulation modes.
Plus with track gen it doubles as a decent signal generator in a pinch!!
Just set the span to zero and it puts out a nice cw!
This works but only because I have set a 10 DB offset to the user preset due to lack of power – readings . And there’s a slight high pass effect in the freq response.
So it’s fairly accurate at around 1 GHz but a bit low at the low end and a bit high and the high end.
It has the coveted tracking generator which works fine since it’s all normalized and cald out anyways. You may lose about 10db dynamic range however.
